About Another Retro Guy (A.R.G)

I’m just a long-time tech nerd with a soft spot for the golden age of gaming kiosks, CRT glow, and the charm of old-school hardware. Over the years, I’ve picked up, restored, and modified everything from beat-up retail displays to forgotten console setups — not to flip them, but to preserve a piece of history and learn everything I can along the way.

Here, you’ll find my personal archive of projects, teardown photos, data vaults, and custom builds — all built around a simple idea:

“If no one else is documenting this stuff, I might as well.”

Whether it’s wiring up a power-hungry PS3 kiosk, LED-modding an audio rack, or figuring out which obscure screw Nintendo used on a plexi panel in 2017 — I’m in it for the journey, not just the result.

This site is my way of giving back to the community and preserving some of the weird, wild tech that shaped the modern gaming world. If that sounds like your jam, welcome aboard.
